IFRS Foundation Conference: Mexico City

We are pleased to announce that the IFRS Foundation IFRS Conference returns to the Americas in 2014, in Mexico City.
This English-and-Spanish-language conference offers a unique opportunity to be updated by members and staff of the IASB on its active projects as well as on its future plans. IASB members and staff will set out how they are responding to the feedback received, and how they expect the IASB work plan to evolve.

The keynote speech will be given by Jaime González Aguadé, President, Mexican Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV). Other distinguished speakers include:

- Carlos Madrid Camarillo, Chief Financial Information Officer, Grupo Financiero Interacciones
- Cesar Garcia de la Vega, Financial Comptroller, Banco Santander
- Gerardo Estrada Attolini, Corporate Director of Finance and Administration, FEMSA
Particular attention will be paid to: (i) higlighting innovations in IFRS disclosures; and (ii) supporting the consistent implementation of new IFRSs—particularly IFRS 9 Financial Instruments and IFRS 15 Revenue From Contracts With Customers.

In addition to the main conference, attendees are also able to register separately for a pre-conference special interest session on Fair Value Measurement and Other Cross-cutting Measurement Issues which includes an interactive panel discussion.
