El Plan de acción para la transformación de la práctica: una hoja de ruta hacia el futuro  destaca áreas e iniciativas clave para las SMP como asesores de confianza de las pequeñas y medianas empresas (PYME). En el entorno actual es fundamental que las pequeñas empresas:
  • Priorice la salud y la seguridad de los empleados, facilite las operaciones virtuales y apoye el trabajo flexible del personal.  
  • Asegurar que exista una comunicación regular con los clientes para identificar sus necesidades y demandas.
  • Maximice sus relaciones cercanas con los clientes y su conocimiento profundo para brindar servicios relevantes, demostrando la capacidad de diversificar las ofertas de servicios.
  • Utilice la tecnología para proporcionar información y permitir que los clientes comprendan sus circunstancias financieras y tomen medidas y decisiones informadas y apropiadas.

Today’s Tip 
How to Support Employees After Violence Against Their Community


When violent attacks targeting a specific race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other community are highly publicized, it can cause psychological trauma for people who share an identity with the victim(s). How can you support your employees who feel unsafe in the world because of their social identities?
  • Cultivate a culture of psychological safety. Foster an environment where conversations about race, religion, and other aspects of identity are commonplace and where employees feel comfortable sharing their experiences with identity-based trauma. Supporting your people starts with understanding what they’re going through.
  • Encourage rest and recovery. Acknowledge the traumatic nature of current events for those who share an identity with the victim(s). Ask those employees what they need, and be prepared to give them time and space to heal.
  • Create and empower employee affinity networks. These groups may allow people to develop a support system within the organization, which they can then turn to for solidarity in the wake of violent news.

Improve How You Recognize Your Team

Showing recognition—when done well—has huge payoffs, boosting employee morale, productivity, performance, and retention. To get better at giving recognition, you want to focus on both the substance of the recognition and the manner and context in which you deliver it. To improve the substance, start by being specific. Describe to your employee what they did and the impact it had on you, the team, the organization, or your customers. While recognizing outcomes is valuable, it’s also important to recognize the positive actions that led to the outcome. To improve the delivery of your recognition, consider the employee you’re recognizing. Would they rather receive kudos in public or in private; verbally or via handwritten card? Tailor your delivery method to your employee's personality. Whatever method you choose, be timely. The sooner you give the recognition after the behavior, the higher the perceived value.
