Even if schools open with in-person classes, Educators need

to be prepared to shift to an online format. We’re invigorated

by the learning opportunities online teaching has provided,

but have also heard your practical concerns, such as how to

adapt the natural flow of a case discussion to a digital setting.

While there are some apparent differences between the in

-person and online class experience, you don’t need years of

experience to lead animated case discussions in a virtual setting.

There are plenty of techniques you use in the traditional

classroom that will translate to the digital one.

While teaching cases online involves many of the same

approaches as in a physical classroom, there are some

differences. This guide aims to alleviate the pain points

of transitioning to an online case classroom.
