IFRS® Foundation Conference: Amsterdam   Thursday 29 and Friday 30 June 2017, Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the Netherlands

We are pleased to announce that the IFRS Foundation’s annual conference in Europe will be held at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 June 2017. The event will provide unique insight into Standard-setting projects and enable attendees to hear about the future of financial reporting, directly from the people who set IFRS Standards. Presenters Hans Hoogervorst (Chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board); Sue Lloyd (Vice-Chair); Board members Stephen Cooper, Martin Edelmann, Françoise Flores, Chungwoo Suh, Mary Tokar; and IFRS Foundation senior technical staff and other IFRS experts. The keynote speaker is Jan Peter Balkenende, ‎External Senior Advisor to EY and Former Prime Minister of the Netherlands. Programme We will be offering pre-conference workshops, to include: an investor-focused IFRS Standards update; an exploration of IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and IFRS 16 Leases; ‘Better Communication’ in financial reporting. In addition to the pre-conference workshops and presentations, we will provide: plenary sessions on insurance and implementation activities; a panel discussion on the future of financial reporting; and technical break-out sessions, which will provide forums to discuss the implementation of IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 and examine in detail other major projects on the Board’s work plan.
